Who we are

Eight shipyards, over 900employees, more than 500 vessels repaired each year, the largest shiprepair & conversion network in Mediterranean… This is today Palumbo Shipyards, a multinational Group that, with over 50 years of experience has given it a leading role within the ship-repair industry.

Our story starts in Naples in 1967 when our founder Salvatore Palumbo took over a small steel works company supporting local yards, Palumbo Shipyards remains a family run business, flexibility (we operate 24/7 – 365 days a year) and client's satisfaction are our core values, our network allows us today to undertake any kind of repairs & conversions: from naval vessels to offshore units, from cruise ships and highly complex ferries to mega yachts, as well as carrying out ship's new building, and providing riding teams.

Palumbo Shipyards are located in Naples (Italy), Messina (Italy), two in Malta (Malta), Marseille (France), Tenerife (Spain), Ancona (Italy), Savona (Italy); in addition the Group runs a commercial office in Montecarlo (Monaco) and a technical support office in Constanta (RO). The Group can count 15 dry docks up to VLCC size.

We service over 500 ships annually and are experienced in blasting and conservation work, maintenance on propulsion systems, engine works, (bow) thrusters, rudders, valves, hatches, piping, cleaning, winches and generators etc. Our project managers are trained to manage the most complicated and challenging projects and are able to advise and assist you on any subject in order to get you back on your way as soon as possible.
